Senator Peck Announces April Listening Tour

​

State Senator Virgil Peck, R-Havana, will be traveling Senate District 15 during the Legislature's April recess conducting a listening tour. Peck says not all the times and locations have been confirmed, but wanted to announce those that have been scheduled. He says in addition to himself, he has invited House of Representative members, Doug Blex, Ron Bryce, Dan Goddard, Ken Collins and Mike Houser to join him at the stops in their Legislative Districts.

The first part of Tour Schedule:

April 15th

Caney - City Council Chambers, 100 W. 4th, 4:00-5:00

Coffeyville - The Yoke Restaurant, 128 W. 9th, 5:30-6:30

April 16th

Parsons - Wall Event Center, 2605 Main, 3:00-4:00

Cherryvale - City Council Room, 123 W. Main, 4:30-5:30

Independence - Dickey's Barbecue, 204 N. Pennsylvania Ave., 6:00-7:00

April 19th

Chanute - Cardinal Drug, 103 E. Main, 4:00-5:00

Erie - Brickhaus, 202 N. Main, 5:30-6:30

April 22nd

Oswego - City Commission Room, 703 5th Street, 3:45-4:45

Chetopa - City Hall, 618 N. 11th, 5:00-6:00

Altamont - Park and Community Center, 620 S. Wabash, 6:30-7:30

Peck said he has always found the listening tour to be beneficial to him in learning what is on the minds of voters. He Says, "There are many topics the Legislature is considering this session. Some have been decided, but there is still plenty on the table to look at. It is important for me and other legislators to visit with constituents as we prepare to return to the Capitol." At the stops, Peck and the House members will briefly mention some of the issues in front of the Legislature and then ask the attendees to voice their thoughts on any topic they wish their representatives to be aware of.
